Tralcetto Montepulciano Zaccagnini is a wine produced in the Abruzzo region, using the Montepulciano grape variety. The grapes are usually harvested during a medium-late ripening period. During the winemaking process, the grapes are gently pressed and subsequently undergo a submerged cap maceration with controlled temperature fermentation. Once the predetermined parameters are achieved, the wine is racked.
Following vinification, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC undergoes maturation and refinement in stainless steel tanks until bottling. This process helps to preserve the wine’s sensory qualities.
The organoleptic characteristics of Tralcetto Montepulciano Zaccagnini include an intense ruby red color with violet reflections. On the nose, there are notes of Morello cherry, plum, and red berries, accompanied by hints of white pepper spice.
