Sagrantino di Montefalco Biologico docg

Certified organic wine.

Also suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Just a small amount of sulphites: 70 mg/lt

Type: Structured Red.

Blend of grapes: 100% Sagrantino.

System of growing: Spurred Cordon. 10 and 15 years old vines.

Vine density: 5.000 vines per hectare.

Yield per hectare: 25 hl/HA (4 tons).

Type of soil: Clay. South-East and South-West exposition.

Harvest: Hand picked at the begining of October.

Production policies: 15 days fermentation 15 days maceration. Staying 6 months on light lees. Fermentation yeasts: Indegenous. Batonage.

Aging: 12 months in French oak tonneaux and a minimum of 6 months in the bottle.

Bouquet: ripe plum, characteristic hints of blackberry, at the end leather. Spicies. Taste: elegant and powerful. Ripe blackberry. Balsamic hints.

Combinations: Roast lamb with lard. Roasted meat.

Serving temperature: 18°C (65 °F).

Aging potential: 20 years
