Negroamaro di Puglia A-Mano comes from a single vineyard in Salento; it is an old, non-irrigated espalier vineyard. This grape is sensitive to sunburn, and the espalier vineyard is perfect for protecting the grapes from the scorching Salento sun and contributes to the aromas that are so distinctive and unusual. Negroamaro di Puglia A-Mano is unlike any other wine you will ever try.
On the nose you will recognize freshly picked berries, black cherries, spices and the scent of flowers.
Elegant, clean with a delicacy that envelops the palate every time you drink it. It will age wonderfully for the next 15 years, developing the complexity of a mature Burgundy wine. Grapes: 100% Negroamaro Grape production area: Salice Salentino, Guagnano, Salento. Vinification: after harvesting usually in October, the grapes are crushed and cooled. Fermentation proceeds for about 2 weeks at 16°C. Maturation: rests for 6 months in steel tanks and a minimum of 6 months in the bottle.

Ruby red color with violet hues. Aroma of berries, cherries, plums, spices, herbs of the Mediterranean scrub. Elegant, clean flavor with a delicacy that envelops the palate every time you drink it. Recommended food pairings: this wine goes well with spicy sausages, fresh pasta with robust sauces, mixed roasts and grilled meats.

Mark is a winemaker from California, Elvezia is a marketing guru from Friuli. They met in Sicily in 1997.
Mark proposed a visit to Puglia to see the very old Primitivo Vines. Mark had heard that Primitivo looked a lot like the Zinfandel that California is famous for. It is now known that they are genetically identical.
The vast extension of Primitivo would be an enchantment for anyone; for a California winemaker it was a calling. It was supposed to be a short vacation; they never left.
Nothing has changed from the beginning; they produce excellent wines from exclusively native grapes. Their interpretation is a modern style with profound respect for the region. The philosophy is to offer extraordinary quality at reasonable prices.

Mark and Elvezia are artisans. They control every detail from the vineyard to the bottle with such care that their wines are truly produced by hand.
