Montefalco Sagrantino – Di Filippo

An icon of Umbrian winemaking excellence, Montefalco Sagrantino D.O.C.G. Di Filippo is the most authentic expression of its territory, born from **100% Sagrantino grapes** cultivated on hilly, clay-limestone soils. Using the cordon-spurred and Guyot training systems, each vineyard is tended with passion and care, yielding a limited but high-quality harvest of 4000 to 5000 kg per hectare. This meticulous approach results in an annual production of only 10,000 bottles, a true gem for connoisseurs. Leggi di più

Monchiero Carbone Winery is located in Canale, at the heart of the town, within an elegant 19th-century estate. Leggi di più

This historic property houses a captivating cellar beneath its grounds, untouched and perfectly preserved for over two centuries.

The winery takes its name from Marco Monchiero and Lucia Carbone, the parents of Francesco Monchiero, who began the winemaking venture using vineyards inherited from both sides of the family. The roots of their winemaking tradition, however, run deep, tracing back through generations of dedicated grape growers from both families.
