Montefalco Rosso Briziarelli is an Umbrian DOC wine that faithfully adheres to the regulations, featuring a composition ranging from 60% to 80% Sangiovese, 10% to 25% Sagrantino, with the possibility of incorporating red-berry grapes from other suitable varieties grown in Umbria. This historic property houses a captivating cellar beneath its grounds, untouched and perfectly preserved for over two centuries.
The winery takes its name from Marco Monchiero and Lucia Carbone, the parents of Francesco Monchiero, who began the winemaking venture using vineyards inherited from both sides of the family. The roots of their winemaking tradition, however, run deep, tracing back through generations of dedicated grape growers from both families.
