Welcome to Azienda Madrevite, a realm of authenticity and tradition spanning over 60 hectares across three enchanting hills. Our land boasts 11 hectares of lush vineyards, 5 hectares of olive groves, small wooded areas, and expanses dedicated to cultivation.
We proudly belong to the Controlled Origin Zone “Trasimeno”, located on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, perched on a promontory along the western shores of Lake Trasimeno.
Passionately cultivating the prominent red grape varieties—Gamay del Trasimeno, Sangiovese, Montepulciano, and Syrah—each contributes its unique nuances to the character of our wines. Our selection is rounded out by white grape varieties, particularly the Grechetto, which imparts freshness and richness to the palate.
Our territory unfolds along the hilly ridge extending from the captivating Cortona for more than 25 km southward, gently touching Chiusi. This ridge divides Valdichiana from the Trasimeno valley, embracing not only Lake Trasimeno but also the picturesque lakes of Montepulciano and Chiusi. The roots of our land trace back to the Lower Pleistocene, characterized by clayey soils that lend structure and length to our wines.
